Wasatch Backcountry Alliance is bringing a free winter shuttle to Mill Creek Canyon for a limited Saturday pilot program (February 21–March 21, 2026).

Come join Patagonia Ambassadors Zahan Billimoria and Connor Ryan for a conversation on risk management in the backcountry, embracing a naturalist vs consumer mindset and how to connect with the mountains in a deeper way. There will also be music, food, beverages, nonprofit tabling and a gear raffle.

The Ninety-Pound Rucksack Challenge is an annual ski mountaineering event that honors the legacy of the 10th Mountain Division, their historic World War II ascent of Italy’s Riva Ridge and their post-war contributions to American skiing.

Close Calls Forum with Salt Lake Snowcast at Skimo Co

The Wasatch Close Calls Forum brings together the Salt Lake City backcountry community to tell stories and share learnings from different avalanche accidents and close calls. The goal is to promote a culture of openness and education without judgement and shame. The more we talk about our mistakes in the mountains, the better our backcountry community will be.

The Backcountry Film Fest is the perfect way to get fired up about human-powered winter recreation while supporting Wasatch Backcountry Alliance! Join us for an evening of inspiring films, epic raffle items, beer and community! This event is 21+.

Member Meeting
