Save the date- Summit Push Fundraiser

Join us for Wasatch Backcountry Alliance’s 2nd Annual Summit Push Fundraiser on Thursday, October 9th from 6–9 PM at Millcreek Common. Building on the momentum of last year’s successful inaugural event, this evening will bring together the backcountry community for a celebration of advocacy, access, and our shared love of winter in the Wasatch. We’re thrilled to welcome keynote speaker Christian Beckwith, a renowned voice in mountain history and producer of the Ninety-Pound Rucksack podcast.

Our public lands and the Wasatch Mountains face big challenges that can feel daunting. But history shows that when mountain lovers unite, we can rise to meet even the greatest tests.
Case in point: World War II, when America’s finest skiers and climbers formed the legendary 10th Mountain Division. After years of brutal training, they helped turn the tide in Italy—and, after the war, launched American outdoor recreation, founding ski areas nationwide, starting companies like NOLS and Nike, and pioneering the fields of conservation, avalanche science and wilderness rescue.
At this year’s Summit Push, veteran alpinist Christian Beckwith will share the 10th’s story—and remind us how their spirit of service and community lives on as we fight to protect the Wasatch backcountry today.
Join fellow advocates as we get inspired, connect past to present, and take on our challenges together.
