Now through November 7th your donation will be matched dollar per dollar through the 15th annual Live PC Give PC. That means if you donate $25 to WBA, we receive $50 thanks to a generous donor. Help us hit our matching goal by making a donation today!

Did you know WBA got its start in 2013 in response to helping stop the SkiLink? This development proposal would have connected BCC to Park City with chairlifts on public lands.

Protecting the Park City Ridgeline, including Bonanza Flats and Guardsman Pass, remains a crucial aspect of our mission in the Central Wasatch.

Your donation to WBA over the next two weeks will directly support our efforts to advocate for a balance between undeveloped and developed terrain throughout the Wasatch.

Donate today and help WBA continue to protect backcountry terrain and access!

What We’re Working on This Season

  • Engaging in development proposals in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons to prevent resort interconnect from returning.
  • Serving on the Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council to represent the backcountry community in land-use planning.
  • Partnering with Outdoor Alliance and Winter Wildlands Alliance to advocate for public land protections and smart recreation policy.
  • Supporting fuels reduction projects that improve forest health and wildfire resilience.
  • Working with partners to brainstorm better multi-use management between motorized and non-motorized recreation around Guardsman Pass.
  • Publishing new Uptrack Podcast episodes to keep our community informed.
  • Building an interactive backcountry parking map to make parking in the Cottonwoods easier to navigate.
  • Continuing our Trail Counting and Backcountry Shuttle programs

Together, we can advocate for the Wasatch backcountry, but we need your support!
