Shuttle Sponsorship

Transportation solutions for the Central Wasatch have been studied for decades. The public has consistently called for a better bus system (not a gondola!).

WBA listened, and since 2016, we’ve provided micro-transit solutions with our Backcountry Shuttle, proving that common-sense transit options can work for dispersed winter recreation. In 2021, we scaled up and started offering the shuttle every Saturday during the season.

This summer we’ve been working hard to improve our Backcountry Shuttle by collaborating with the Forest Service to permit trailhead drop-offs and with the Central Wasatch Commission to add our shuttle to the Ski Bus Priority Access Program (skip the LCC closure snake). Plus, we’re partnering with an app developer to make the experience seamless!

The Backcountry Shuttle is just one example of WBA’s efforts to maintain backcountry access while helping reduce traffic and parking conflicts.
